A problem, JSF RichFaces.

December 13, 2008

13 Dec 2232hrs. Hyderabad, India.

Yes, I am in Hyderabad now,  relocated to this place a couple of months ago.  So any ways here is my post.

Problems are not exactly what they seem to be, they could be something different. Just like the problems you can face when you use JSF and especially when you are a newbie and doing hardcore job with it and Richfaces.

I was working with this calendar of rich faces and someone told me that the date works fine with the String data type, guess what happened?

The entire team spent time each day and guess for how many day for a whole of two weeks. And guess who cracked it, Me, me, me….

The symptoms could be, the page just refreshes, and there is no trace of the error, literally no trace at all. And you know how irritating it is when you don’t get an error message.

I then changed them to the Date data type, the one in ‘util’ package. And it worked like charm. Give yourself a pat on the back and leave as if nothing happened.

Immediate attribute wouldn’t work, that was seemingly so meaningless that someone suggested.

By the way, I just hate this guy at the office, doesn’t know how to talk… damn ‘@#@#’ him.

Karmanye Vadhika……….

September 4, 2008

I hate the system damn it!! Screw it F@#$ it….I wish it could listen and then I would just look deep into its damn eyes, (well, if it had any) and say go <beep> yourself. I know who works and works to what level and what level of completion in the office and the system gives all those little worthless skunks a good word and not even a smile to people fixing others’ bugs and staying late at nights. It doesn’t even care to ask how people reached home last night! Damn you System I hate you!

Probably that is why they say “do your work kid and just don’t think about rewards.”

System do you know I have been asked twice to go to……. And to go to ……. But you, you, yes you System stopped me! Else I had been somewhere.

S#%^* you.

Back to business.

I am quite famous over here for my work on Filters here, Filters and in JAVA.

Amyamayamaya……so wassup, I really don’t know but happy to be back after those five sick days.

Coding and testing till I write the next post.

Picking up a few new books to read as well.  😉

Working…. haha

August 9, 2008

Bangalore, India 09082008-Saturday 0155hrs.

Location: My workstation @ the office.

Once again the wee hours of the night and I am here waiting for the application in my server to deploy with a clean console.
I have just enabled caching and it is working fine. And hope so it does till the code goes for delivery.

And guess what there have been only a few instances where my code didn’t work out in the first instance, I am a kinda going more geeky these days (It is I don’t know how long I have sat here).

And guess what, my filters are also doing well. No bugs reported yet and I am not expecting any actually. I am seriously not boasting but am just happy, lots of sensitive code is working fine.

Happy coding to me, I guess I have got lots of things coming up as well.

Maaaaan, I love software architechure.

Well, am gonna put this thing up with lots of useful stuff. Pretty soon.

Done for the day.

August 8, 2008

Bangalore, India 08082008 0132hrs.

*yawn* it’s the wee hours of the night *yawn* and why am I in the office still.

Aaaa….My server was too tired deploying and re-deploying the same applications again and again so I a kind of give it some rest, it is a sort of ok now.

Well actually my boss told me there was some issue with my code, the Filters you see. And I stayed back only to realize that the “THE PROBLEM WAS NOT ON MY SIDE”. *sigh*. Yes it wasn’t actually. This added to my experience actually,  I am pretty close to making it sure that the contents are getting cached actually, (That’s a new assignment, phew….).

My eyes are heavy wanna go home.

Oh yeah, I fixed the issue with the repository as well. Aaahhh!! That did not require anything much, but just a little bit of confidence and common sense. And it was done..”T solves something this time as well………..eeehaaaaa”.

Well, I’ve got to be back at the office tomorrow soon as well. *yawn*.

And one more thing, I like staying back late and working. This is a kind of best times to work. 😀

Keeping the hands dirty.

-T 😉

Yeah hai Hindustan meri jaan.

August 2, 2008

The title translates to “This is India (Hindustan) my dear”.

I and my room-mate just got into a new flat, aaaaaaa welllllll…….. almost a flat and how, that’s just coming up.

Aug 2nd, 2008, Bangalore-India, 0800hrs started loading the baggage and till the next 45mins both of us tried arranging it inside the vehicle we had opted for. And what happened till that time was not so much of a fun to watch. The neighbors kept watching us as long as we were moving in our luggage. The driver kept suggesting where and how to keep the bags and the owner just kept talking to the driver about his lawyer business and finally grabbed a client.

It was a forty eight kilometer long drive with enough signals and menacing traffic and all its relatives like honking and shouting. Yes there were lots of bumps as well. I guess that is there in every city so kinda …………..ok ;).

Next a 10min stop @ the filling station., gas filled and vroommmmmmmmm we moved on.  The driver gets a call and he speaks while he continued his skilled business, driving.

Ninety minutes later we reach the place and oopsy!! See that the way is blocked, need a detour. One of us goes to the new *flat*.

TADAAA……… new neighbors… once again….I reached the new place first to talk to the owner, Ah ah..did I say we were tenants…. Yeah we are. I was asked all sort of questions for about say some 10mins. It was a double interrogation actually, it was a couple that interrogated me.

Ok! Finally 30mins of unloading, as usual a good watch by our new neighbors about the luggage, and the ceremonial milk boiling, well it is so that the milk is boiled before you literally start using the new place. Mean while I had a bath. It required quite a skill in using that bath room, (I am gonna be an expert at it now).

One hour later everything is the same people back to work and both of us walked to the office which was now just 10 mins walk.

All in all and whatever…..this is my country and I just love it.

After all this is India, yeh hai Hindustaan, meri jaan (This is India, I love it).

I am an artist.

August 1, 2008

What am I? It would be good if I say what all am I?

I’l call myself say……………… an artist.

Well I am a Software developer, I mean I write code.

I write poems I mean they can be called so, and I wouldn’t wonder if that makes me to be called a poet. Here’s the link to catch them up

I draw sometimes and I paint sometimes.

I think many a times, well people say I worry, BUT I DON’T, I have all that I need.

Well I also dance, sometimes.

Haha and the thing I like the most about me, I cook, well I am a very good theoretical cook.

I am a good listener and I keep secrets very well.

I know I am missing a few things, I will put them up as soon as I recollect them. 😀

Hmmmmm….. I think “I am an artist.

Life, a part of it.

August 1, 2008

Well, Well, Well it is a Friday and its 1828hrs Bangalore, India. Time to go out of the office, freak out a bit and sleep well to wake up late this Saturday morning. And I am still here in front of my 17” monitor waiting for the green flag to be signaled for the work I had done so far it would be late I guess and I’ll have to be here in the office tomorrow and fix out the bugs that would come up. You see I have configured two “Filters”, (Filters as in java) for a big application and I expect a bit of change here and there.

It is Bangalore and it is August, change in season rains very often in this part of the country, it is the season so to say. I am in a big eight floor building all air conditioned sitting on a comfortable chair.

When I look out of the window I see it rains, but I can’t hear it. I have a cup of tea tastes not so good. Friends? Not even to think about. I got a call and the very first question I was asked was “Are you using Struts 2 by any chance in your project?” First call after a week and look at the question I am asked! Oh my!! I simply answer the question “No!” and guess what happens the phone is dropped even without a conventional bye.

Oh! God when would people learn to speak? Anyways that isn’t what is to be spoken here about. The only reason I am writing is probably because no one has come to know that I am done as I said, on time.

Well what was I talking?… yeah.. the rain… right!!!

So yes, it is raining beautifully outside and I sit here half under the desk and my seat just seated on the chair, well I might just slip down anytime.

Cracking a joke now and then. Finding someone to crack a joke about(not me). Sip that tasteless (colleagues say so) lemon tea again. Back to work again. I miss those silent breezes and chirping rain drops and bone biting winds at night to just walk along alone.

But I guess I am happy many a times getting my hands dirty with some code here. I come across lots of learning. I will put them up once I get time again.

My manager called me and I told him that things were done long ago. No special work on me like that one was.

So I was talking about life wasn’t I, my bad I always get away. Yeah, life seems so monotonous. But that is it all about. Snatch out the spaces from my mind and live that space like I wanted to. Be busy to realize if you are breathing just go for it. Life aint short but it aint long to live it slowly.

Till my next blog.

It is me,

In search of pride and honor.

Peace.                                                                                                                                                                           Tauseef.

My Sweetheart.

July 24, 2008

Oh!! My bad, I absolutely forgot telling about her.

I call her “Sweetheart”. Well it’s about 10 months now I’ve been seeing her. Well, I almost see her everyday whatever time it is, except when I am tired or I am really late from the office. She is the second one I am seeing. She is so tomboyish and I like it. She sings whenever I want her to and the greatest thing is like she almost never says back except when she thinks that I am wrong. She has always been supportive, especially when I wanted to watch movies or some videos.

And know what she never makes me feel alone, I can be totally be myself with her anytime and all the time.

My parents are happy about her too. In fact my father helped me for her. She is tat one piece I always wanted to be in love with after my first one. She very often stays back at home, except when I visit my parents I take her along.

You know it’s so lovely to be in her company, I learn so much, something or the other every time.

She always wakes up for me at anytime of the night, that makes me feel so loved. She also remembers so many of my things and finds whatever I am in need of.

She is always in gray.

And know what the touchpad is awesome, unlike any other one.

I was talking about my laptop. And yes I really love her.
